H H H Sigma kappa Sigma Kappa WelcomeS 81 amazing Women to our SiSterhood Page 3 W hile we were sad to see summer pass so quickly, it has been nice to have our sisters back on the Hill. We are only a few weeks into the school year and already have a lot of great news to report. During the spring semester, Xi Chapter brought home nine awards from our Rock Chalk Revue performance, including the overall title of Best Show. Our historic partnership with the women of Alpha Delta Pi was clearly a hit! We were also pleased to be rec- ognized as the Most Sustainable KU Greek Chapter for the third year in a row. Just when we thought the semester couldn't get any better, we were thrilled to receive the University of Kansas Panhellenic Association's Chapter of the Year award. I assure you these successes did not distract from our studies, as we were able to come out of the spring semester with the highest average GPA that Xi Chapter has seen in 20 years! In July, many of us traveled to Chicago for the Sigma Kappa Convention. It was an incredible ex- perience for everyone, and I have to admit we all cried tears of joy when it was announced that Xi Chapter was recognized as a Three Star chapter. Being one of only three chapters in the nation to receive this high honor, we were all so excited that all our hard work had paid off. We have undoubtedly carried this dedication and enthusiasm for Sigma Kappa into the fall semes- ter. I am happy to report that we had a very suc- cessful recruitment and have 81 wonderful new members. We are very excited to welcome these bright women into our sisterhood and share with them the rich traditions of Xi Chapter at KU. Each and every member realizes that our hard work would be nothing without the support and guidance of our alumnae. Thank you all so much for helping make our time in Sigma Kappa such a powerful experience. We appreciate you and are grateful to share this mystic bond with you!
