COURTESYPHOTO Selah Dance will be holding registration for the fall and spring season 10a.m. to 1p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20at 446Antelope Blvd.#30. Classes are available for ages 2to adult. CLASSES SELAH DANCE TO HOLD REGISTRATION REDDING The Shasta Union High School will be transformed into a ju- nior college. The change probably will not be made this year, but it will go into effect next year. By a junior college, as provided in a new law en- acted by the last Legis- lature, is meant that the high school course will be lengthened from four years to six years. In the two extra years studies will be taught so that the standings obtained in them will be credited to the students when they enter the State Uni- versity. The change to a junior college will not requre the employment of any more teachers, the Trustees hold. It will mean though that the teachers on the force will be "kept busy" teaching. It may be neces- sary, however, to hire one more teacher. The Trustees have not yet received a report from the University agricul- tural experts on the plan of teaching agriculture in the high school. — Aug. 2, 1916 100 YEARS AGO...
