GAMMA PHI BETA 3 Left: In early February, 50 Alpha Deltas helped recruit a new Gamma Phi Beta chapter at Washington University in St. Louis. Right: President Ally Wallenta '14 and Membership Vise President Jennifer Welby '14 enjoyed the scholarship dinner in April. new year has brought the Alpha Delta chapter many new and exciting experiences! Our chapter is excited about all we have accomplished this year and all we have yet to do. EXECUTIVE BOARD RETREAT On January 1, a new executive board took over for the chapter and these seven leaders spent a weekend in late January in St. Louis preparing for the upcoming year. We stayed at the home of one of our advisors and spent the weekend learning more about our positions, improving the chapter bylaws and rules, and eating delicious food. This June, our executive board and three advisors will be attending the Gamma Phi Beta convention in Atlanta, Georgia, thanks to the financial support of the AHC. We could not be more excited. THE ALPHA DELTAS HELP RECRUIT A NEW CHAPTER In early February, 50 Alpha Deltas helped recruit a new Gamma Phi Beta chapter at Washington University in St. Louis. We were thrilled to help 110 women find their home away from home, just like we did. Our advisors and International Gamma Phi Beta leaders were also in attendance. We had such a great time talking to the women and hearing about why they wanted to be in our amazing sorority. AN UNFORGETTABLE SISTERHOOD EVENT Around Valentine's Day, our members came together to spread love and happiness in Columbia by spending the evening decorating cookies and making cards to send to girls at the local elementary school, Rock Bridge. We have decided to expand our philanthropy by volunteering at local elementary schools, such as this one. We will be teaching third, fourth, and fifth grade girls about confidence and self-esteem, while also playing fun games with them. MEET OUR AMAZING NEW ADVISORS The Alpha Delta chapter was excited to start off the year with two new advisors, Megan Valli Minnick '05 and Danielle Roden '09. Both Megan and Danielle are Alpha Delta alumnae and are doing an incredible job. I was grateful to have both join me at this year's REAL Leadership Conference in St. Louis. We had a blast getting to know presidents and advisors from Gamma Phi Beta chapters all over the country. Our chapter would love to have any alumnae come and visit the chapter house. We are always excited to give house tours or eat dinner with our Gamma Phi Beta sisters. Feel free to stop by any time! We would love to see you all at the 808.
