Chapter Sets Goal of Winning Theta Chi Alter Award I n recent years, we have really seen some exceptional growth from the Alpha Mu Chapter. The key for the chapter moving forward is sustaining this recent success. The chapter hasn't seen this type of success since well before 2000, and my job is to hold our members accountable to ensure we accomplish all of our goals. As a chapter, we must have peaks and plateaus instead of peaks and valleys if we truly want to become the top Theta Chi chapter in the nation. The executive board has worked extremely hard with each officer to implement new and innovative processes for their respective positions. As an executive board, we have come up with several goals. Our top goal is for our chapter to win the Theta Chi Alter Award, which goes to the top Theta Chi chapter in the nation. We also hope to become more transparent with our members and keep a positive attitude no matter the situation. I firmly believe we have elected our top members to the executive board, and I am truly excited to see what this group of men can accomplish. Our revamped new member education process was a huge success in developing the brotherhood that we promise potential new members before they join our chapter. Noah Reddig '18 has done a fantastic job building on the momentum and has incorporated new ideas to further improve the course. I believe we have one of, if not the, best new member education process out of any Greek organization. As we strive to become the best chapter possible, this process will be crucial to truly developing the new members to reach their full potential. We are excited to announce that the chapter will team up with ACCESS to host an event in mid-April called 1BlueString, a concert promoting awareness of sexual assault on male victims. We believe this will be a great event and Joe Jerger '18 is working hard to finalize the details. The Alpha Mu Chapter has tasted success these past couple of years, and now is the time for our members to buy-in to sustain that success. The future is very bright for our great chapter, and with the group of young men we have, there's no doubt that we will continue to grow and succeed. Fraternally, Zachary J.
