W hen we look back at our own Kappa experiences, we can see how the friendships, leadership, and service—even decades ago—helped shape who we are today. We are thankful for our close friendships with Delta Psi sisters, for the leadership development that helped us become successful community members, and for the numerous opportunities gained through Kappa Kappa Gamma membership. Our home at 9 Greek Circle was built in 1976. It has been part of Delta Psi's legacy for nearly 40 years. But over the past years, Greek life at Texas Tech has grown and our new member classes continue to increase. Delta Psi has more than 242 active members today and we anticipate that number to steadily increase over the next several years. Our facility isn't large enough for all members and creates a challenge for chapter meetings and recruitment. While we continue to recruit and attract some of the top women at Texas Tech University, it is important that we stay on par with the facilities that other sororities are offering. Thus, a very important project was born—the Our Key, Our Tradition, Our Future capital campaign. Today, 55 alumnae have committed $320,500 toward our $650,000 goal. Whether you are a member of the class of 1953 or 2013, Delta Psi needs your help now. This is the time to remember your Delta Psi experience. Remember what impact Kappa Kappa Gamma had on you, and think about how your life has been affected by your membership and your sisters. It is only through the lifelong bonds of Kappa sisterhood that future generations may share the same experience. The updated Delta Psi lodge will provide our members with a modernized facility that will help our chapter maintain a competitive edge on campus while creating a safe home away from home for all—a home that all alumnae can be proud to call their own. In the coming weeks, you will receive additional information detailing the project, the campaign, and ways in which you can help. We will be honored to have you join our growing list of loyal supporters who are leaving their legacy and providing for future generations, as previous sisters did for all of us. Thank you for your loyalty, consideration, and support of Delta Psi!
