5 alpha gamma rho Gamma Chapter Strives to Strengthen Brotherhood Thirty-Two New Members Join ΑΓΡ in Fall 2015 T his fall, Gamma Chapter welcomed 32 new members who demonstrate diligent effort in both the brotherhood and the classroom. Throughout the semester, they have played a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and running multiple philanthropies and events for the brotherhood. From an academic standpoint, there has been an immense focus on the importance of scholarship. In addition to excelling in the classroom, many of the new members have shown interest in pursuing a career in the field of agriculture. Every new member has been creating close bonds with active brothers, as well as a thorough understanding of ΑΓΡ history and development through the online AGRconnect modules. This new member class has already become an integral part of Gamma Chapter. Each new member has developed a deep interest in Alpha Gamma Rho and understands the focus on bettering the house to make better men. Fraternally, Peter Majewski '13 (Γ1653) VNR Membership Development Gammas celebrate a strong brotherhood and the start of a new semester. Academic Performance of ΑΓΡ Soars in Pursuit of Excellence A s the vice noble ruler of scholarship, it is my job to help facilitate the academic growth of our brothers. Thankfully, my job is very easy due to the importance that every single brother in our chapter places on education. In the spring 2015 semester, we had 23 brothers earn Dean's List recognition with GPAs above a 3.5. We also had 50 out of 84 brothers who achieved a GPA of 3.0 or above. Due to this academic performance, we are not only one of the highest performing chapters at Penn State, but we are also one of the best performing chapters of Alpha Gamma Rho. Our pursuit of academic excellence can be seen through our cumulative chapter GPA of a 3.13, which is above the Penn State Fraternity GPA average of a 3.0. It is our hope that you see the support you give us is used to better ourselves so that one day we, too, may be fortunate enough to give back. Thank you, alumni, for your support through scholarships, advice, and uplifting praise. We will continue to honor the academic traditions of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity in the upcoming semesters. Congratulations to the following Gammas for making the Dean's List for the spring 2015 semester.
