he spring semester was strong for Gamma
Upsilon. We saw the largest spring new
member class in a long time with 10 new
members. Josh Cabbage '13 and AJ Johnson
'14 did a great job getting the whole chapter
involved in recruiting so we could obtain so
many quality men. With this spring class we also
had an amazing 100% retention through their
first semester.
SUCCESS ON CAMPUS
Gamma Upsilon also excelled in many areas
on campus and in the Greek Community this
semester. For the fourth year in a row, ATW was
the highest fundraising fraternity for the annual
Dance Marathon held in January. We also
excelled by getting second overall in the Greek
Week competition while being paired with Delta
Delta Delta and Sigma Phi Epsilon, and first in
lip sync.
THANK YOU, ALUMNI
The top two floors of the chapter house were
renovated this summer. The chapter would first
like to thank all of our alumni who made the
renovations possible; it has really given our
membership a boost of morale. Your support
is so greatly appreciated by all the chapter
members. Any alumni who have not seen the
chapter house yet, please stop by next time
you're in the area. We would be more than
happy to show you around.
MEMBERSHIP CONTINUES
TO GROW
Another highlight from the summer was
recruitment. Lead by a recruitment team of Tim
Stokes '13 and Nick Lage '15, we recruited 28
new men into the fraternity. This is the largest
class that we have had in recent history!
Gamma Upsilon is sitting at 66 members and,
for the first time in many years, has a full chapter
house with 46 men living in. We are heading
exactly in the direction we need to and couldn't
have done it without the support of our alumni.

ATW had a great time carving pumpkins with the
ladies of Alpha Chi Omega this fall.
Gamma Upsilon undergraduates and alumni
gathered to cheer on the Cyclones as they took
on the Kansas Jayhawks on October 3.
ATW gives back by taking part in a
community service project in Ames.
