We are excited to see the progress as the project continues. New Recruitment Strategy Yields More New Members In the spring, we sent eight members to the Regional Recruitment Workshop at the University of Kansas. Those who attended learned a new strategy of dynamic recruitment and social excellence to bring back to the rest of the chapter. During the spring and summer, we were able to focus on better recruitment strategies and increased our new member GPA by 30%. During the summer months, we recruited 25 new members for the fall semester and hope to get 20 for the spring. The three strike program was proposed by Nationals to many chapters as a way to hold members accountable throughout their undergraduate career, and we have instituted it here at MO Alpha. We look to contin- ue this upward trend for the 2015-16 year. Philanthropy and Intramural Success We have been involved in multiple sorority philanthropies, includ- ing a strong run in the Gamma Phi Beta Crescent Classic, the Kappa Classic golf tournament, and Zeta Tau Alpha volleyball tournament. We plan to put on a new philanthropy in November involving a laser tag tournament to raise money for ALS. The intramural flag football season began with an easy first game win and we look to continue this success throughout the semester. When football is over, we will take our talents to the basketball courts at the Mizzou Rec. Chapter Events In the middle of September, Mizzou had Family Weekend, and at Phi Delt we welcomed new parents to the house and got together for a barbecue. The first weekend of October brought together our alumni again for a tailgate and pig roast at the house. Our members and Chap- ter Advisory Board worked endlessly to ensure success as this was the last time celebrating in the "old house." I want to give a special thanks to those who attended and helped contribute to the success for the third year in a row. The chapter looks to keep improving internally and gain more nation- al awards, like our honorable mention for the Excellence Award we received last semester, and I want to see us win the service award and a GHQ Trophy this year. It truly makes me proud to be a Phi seeing alumni come back and, most importantly, give back to the chapter. I fell in love with this place when I pledged in fall 2013 and I hope for future continued success so I can stay involved and give back just as you all have. On behalf of the chapter, we appreciate your support as always and would like to express our gratitude for making the future of Phi Delt as bright as it is.
