Meet the New
CEO & President
The Greater Fayetteville Chamber took another
step on our journey toward a stronger Chamber
and an organization that is committed to business
advocacy for our members and growing a healthy
business community. On October 22nd, we
announced the selection of Retired Major General
Rodney Anderson as our President and CEO.
This selection by the board of directors
demonstrates the Chamber's commitment in
implementing the objectives in the
Task Force 2025 report released earlier this year.
The four-month long search culminated in Anderson's
selection after narrowing the field of 40 nationwide
applicants to 6, then 3 finalists.
Anderson will take over the helm at the Chamber on November 1st. One of his first
duties will be to address the objectives in the Task Force 2025 Report.
Rodney Anderson stated, "I am honored and humbled to lead and serve as the
President and CEO of our Chamber." He added, "The Greater Fayetteville Chamber
has a strategic vision to build prosperity and community resilience through
business leadership."
Rodney Anderson is a native of Elloree, South Carolina and graduate of Wofford
College. Anderson retired from the U.S. Army after 33 years of distinguished
service. His last assignment when he retired in June 2012 was as the deputy
commanding general of Fort Bragg and the 18th Airborne Corps, a position
he held since 2010. He also served as the 82nd Airborne Division's deputy
commander for support at Fort Bragg and in Afghanistan.
