Mr. Burns' personal as- sistant for 26seasons on "The Simpsons" will finally come out of the closet during the upcom- ing season. "In Springfield now, most people know he's gay but obviously Burns doesn't," Al Jean, the show's executive producer, told TVLine. The revelation will be part of a two-episode story, according to Jean, who also said Smithers will have a bigger role during season 27.
