Arrests Someone was arrested Monday night on Givens Road after reports of a domestic disturbance reached police. No name was released. Violence •A man was reportedly beaten by his estranged ex- wife Monday night on Del Norte Drive. •A woman was reported- ly battered and left bleeding Monday night on King Road. Theft •A white 1993 Ford Escape was reported stolen Sunday morning from Montgomery Street. The license plate was 3FEP498CA. •Herbert Lee Peterson reported a burglary to his garage Monday afternoon on Newman Road. •A TV was reported stolen Tuesday morning on Sale Lane. •A bicycle was reported stolen Monday afternoon just outside Walmart. Vandalism A window was broken at Staples Monday night. The loss is $300. Odd •Thirty-seven .22 caliber bullets, a pen and three nails were found outdoors in a leaf pile on property hous- ing the Tehama County Jail. •A woman called to report her fence had been shoved with dead crabs. Deputies determined the crabs were in no position to harm the caller's animals, and gave her information on how to apply for a restrain- ing order. Crash • Tom Coleman, 61, of Red Bluff was uninjured in a crash at 2:30 p.m. Monday on Kaer Avenue, north of Berrendos Avenue. Cole- man was driving north on Kaer at an unknown speed when the vehicle to drifted left off the roadway and into a chain link fence. The vehi- cle hit and damaged about 30 feet of fence before hit- ting a tree, which threw the vehicle back onto the road- way, where it completed a full rollover within the traf- fic lanes. Coleman was wearing his seatbelt and the airbags deployed. The vehi- cle received major damage. Police reports `Two bird strikes reported at Sacramento airport SACRAMENTO (AP) — Airport officials in Sacramento say birds hit two passenger jets in sepa- rate incidents but caused no damage to the planes. Sacramento Interna- tional Airport spokes- woman Karen Doran says the first bird strike was reported around noon Tuesday after birds hit the nose of a Southwest Air- lines flight during landing. The plane arrived safely. The second incident happened around 1 p.m. after birds flew into the windshield of another Southwest Airlines flight en route to Las Vegas. The plane returned to Sacra- mento for inspection. A windshield wiper was replaced and the plane departed. The Sacramento airport is in the Pacific flyway for migratory birds and reports more bird strikes annually than any other airport in the Western U.S. Doran said it is current- ly the middle of the migra- tory season.
