Boehm '73 entered Chapter Grand on Friday, May 15. It was during his years at DePauw that Barry forged many lifelong friendships. His good looks and outgoing attitude gained him the reputation of big man on campus. This was just the beginning of his long and lustrous life, driven by his sparkling personality. He later took his first administration job at Delmar Gardens, and received a master's in business administration from St. Louis University. Along the way, Barry found a connection to nature while working on his many gardens. He reached the pinnacle of his business career when he became a partner for Price Waterhouse Coopers in St. Louis, Mo. His branch would later merge with IBM. While working with PWC, Barry met his loving wife, Tammy Buschman. The two wed at Ladue Chapel, eventually becoming parents to four children. Barry dedicated much of his time to Ladue Chapel, helping with various projects, including the strategic long-term planning committee, another testament to his genuine passion to help others. While staying true to his commitment, Barry continued to give to his Fraternity by helping revive the Phi Delta Theta Chapter at St. Louis University. One of Barry's most memorable honors came when his father, Elmer Boehm '49, and his son, Landon Boehm '08, were honored at a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game for the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award, recognizing three generations of True Blue Phi Delts. Following his retirement, Barry continued to dedicate his time to the things he loved: captivating people with his personality, genuinely loving and looking for the best in others, working in the garden, and overseeing and caring for family and friends at home. Alumni News DeForest "Ham" A. Hamilton Jr. '50 has lived in Sun City Hilton Head, S.C., for 10 years and has no interest in relocating, as he is still active in various community clubs.
