p. 2 The DePauw Phi A s the 95 men of Indiana Zeta moved into the summer for new ventures—or just a little rest—the Phi Delta Theta General Fraternity award season kicked off. The results for 2015 will be remembered as the most heralded time for DePauw Phis. In late spring, campus Greek awards from Order of Omega brought deserved attention to Indiana Zeta as the most recognized Fraternity. Awards included: Chapter of Excellence, Excellence in Alumni Relations, and Excellence in Philanthropic Endeavors. Jack Rotman '18 was named Rising Greek Leader and Jake Rust '15 was awarded a spot on the Greek Hall of Fame. From there, five men attended the summer Kleberg Emerging Leaders Institute at Miami of Ohio—including me as Chapter President, and I was chosen for the Honors College of Leadership program. During the institute, Indiana Zeta recognition continued as we were awarded the Gold Star, the GHQ award, and the Biggers Ritual award. Gold Stars are awarded to only the top 10% of chapters, and it was a rare back-to-back occurrence for Indiana Zeta. Back on campus, the Chapter once again had a GPA above the all-fraternity and all-men's averages, won intramural football, and placed second in the Little Five bike race with several riders returning. Individually, Mitch Davis '18 was named honorable mention All-American for swimming and Lucas Italiano '16 and Ryan Allee '15 were named second team all-conference. Reid Pittard '17 and Collin Henry '15 were honorable mention all-conference. In tennis, Captain Chris Bertolini '15 was named first team all-conference and Alec Kaczkowski '16 was named second team all-conference. Eleven Phis were named to the Tiger Pride Honor Roll for athletes, with five named to the NCAC Honor Roll. Last spring, we had two baseball captains. This year we have three: Lucas, Reid, and Nick Horvath '17. Our campus service superstar, Jake Weeks '15, was named Person of the Year from Mental Health America of Putnam County and Savon Jackson '15 was awarded a Fulbright scholarship. As am I, you should be most proud to be a DePauw Phi, and none of it could happen without the time, treasure, and talents of our alumni.
