WHITE: The exhibit at Museum
of the Cape Fear features

by photographer Brenda Scott
of Stagville State Historic Site
in Durham, and includes 64
photographs..The exhibit will run
through September 13, 2015.

Volunteer intern Ben Herndon
will conduct the walking tours.
Beginning at 1 p.m. prior to
each tour, he will greet visitors
in the Civil War gallery on the
second floor of the Museum of
the Cape Fear where they can
view artifacts from the Arsenal
including the museum's collection
of Fayetteville Rifles. The tour
begins at 2 p.m. For more

the Museum of the Cape Fear
is offering a free tour of the
Fayetteville Arsenal. The site
of the Fayetteville Arsenal was
commissioned in 1838 by the
federal government to manufacture
and store arms. Seized by the
Confederacy during the Civil War,
