Black History Month allows the City to focus on the history, achievements, and contributions of African-Americans' whose stories have been woven into the fabric of the American experience. The February events include: contributions of African-Americans during World War II. All branches of the armed forces are represented in this exhibit. Also, featured on the large screen in the Airmen. This exhibit will run throughout the month of February from Central Texas College on Fort Bragg, at the N.C. 2 p.m. The program is based on the contributions of African-Americans during World War II educator, author, and lawyer. The exhibit will be displayed in the front lobby of the Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum throughout February Chesnutt's life, oral readings from some of his books, and discussion of local sites highlighted in his works. The City is partnering with the Headquarters Library on the program the Market House. Tickets on Sale for Human Relations Banquet The Fayetteville-Cumberland Commission is holding its 42nd Inn Bordeaux. The purpose of the banquet is to publicly recognize youth, individuals, businesses/ industries, commissions/organizations, educators, religious leaders, and humanitarians that have been actively involved in improving the quality of life in Cumberland County. Billy Taylor, the Goodyear plant manager, is the banquet's keynote speaker. Fayetteville Mayor The Alphonso McCoy Youth Award will be younger who has provided outstanding service to the community, a church, a nursing home, and/or an individual. Merrill Lynch/Bank of America-Fayetteville Branch will be honored with the Industry/ Business Award, which is presented to an industry provides leadership and direction for upward mobility, has an educational scholarship program, and promotes and is involved in local and state human relations efforts. receive the Inez Easley Educator Award.
