This Cheeseburger Mac recipe is from Thirty Meals in 30 Minutes. 1 pound ground beef 1 cups water 1 package (7 ounces) macaroni and cheese din- ner 4 tablespoons butter cup milk Dill pickle slices (op- tional) Instructions: 1 Heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add ground beef; cook 8 to 10 min- utes, breaking into -inch crumbles and stirring oc- casionally. Pour off drip- pings. 2 Stir in water and mac- aroni; bring to a boil. Re- duce heat; cover and sim- mer 7 to 8 minutes or until macaroni is tender. 3 Stir in contents of cheese sauce packet, but- ter and milk. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasion- ally. Add beef crumbles. 4 Serve beef mixture topped with pickle slices, if desired. Makes 4 servings. EMBLEM Club celebrates 50th anniversary Hailey Reineman and Haley Rosser, 2015 grad- uates of Red Bluff High School, have both been awarded $500 schol- arships by the Tehama Shooters Association. Reineman is the daugh- ter of Ken and Michelle Reineman of Red Bluff. She is planning to attend the University of Nevada, Reno and major in nurs- ing with the goal of be- coming a nurse practitio- ner. Rosser is the daugh- ter of Kevin and Wendy Rosser of Red Bluff. She will be attending Califor- nia State University, Chico with a major in Animal Science. Her career goal is to become a veterinarian. The association is proud to help aid in the education of these two fine young ladies. The association is a shooting sports club with a range located out of Red Bluff toward Man- ton. Non-members are welcome to participate in many of the scheduled events. The presenter is not able to attend and organizers have been unable to find a replacement. The next Thursday eve- ning program on the "Fish of the Sacramento River" will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Farm Bureau building, 275 Sale Lane in Red Bluff. Summer Day Camps be- gin on June 15 and there are still openings available. The local high school was operated last year at the average cost of $82 per pupil for the term. The av- erage cost per pupil for op- erating high schools of the same class throughout the state is $110. Coconuts Raley's: A citation was is- sued to a man who was re- portedly throwing garbage around while pan-handling near Raley's about 11a.m. Friday. According to log reports, he was throwing coconuts at people. Collision Burger King: A woman who witnessed a vehicle bump into a woman around 3p.m. Friday in the Burger King parking lot on Antelope Boulevard reported having threats made against her. The witness reported the woman almost hit was yelling at the elderly man driving the vehicle when the reporting party attempted to make contact with her. At that time, the woman told the witness that she was going to stab her. Crash Penner Drive: A 15-year- old Red Bluff boy was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a crash at 6:25p.m. Friday on Penner Drive, north of Jellys Ferry Road that sent a 16-year- old Red Bluff boy to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries. The 15-year-old was driving south on Penner, which is a dirt road, and lost control as he approached the curve, hitting a culvert pipe, which caused the vehicle to roll over. Fire Sixty-Eighth Avenue, cross of Foothill Bou- levard: The cause of an eight-acre vegetation fire reported at 4:14p.m. Mon- day is under investigation. There were no structures threatened. The fire was contained at 5:40p.m. Missing 4700block of East Ave- nue: A 62-year-old Corning man was reported by his niece about 11a.m. Monday as being missing. She told officers he had moderate dementia and had walked away from his residence. Search and Rescue was called out and the man was located about 1:15p.m. in the area of Hoag Road at Hall Road. 500block of Hunt Av- enue: A woman reported Monday her son, whom she had not seen since June 4, was missing. He was last known to have been working in Red Bluff on Saturday. Odd Main Street near Adobe Road: Someone requested a welfare check around 3a.m. Sunday for a man sitting in his underwear in the middle of the road in the northbound lane of Main Street.
