ambda Chapter has a strong presence on campus and many members
serve in leadership roles outside of our organization. We had two
members join the IFC executive board: Quinn Rusnak '14 was elected
vice president of risk management and James Volovic '16 was elected
director of recruitment. Elliot Cofer '16 is a member of the IFC judicial
board, and Sam Luebbe '16 is serving as president for IU Dance
Marathon, among numerous other positions, and has a ticket running for
IU student government.
Making Philanthropy a Priority
Unfortunately we lost this year's Dropping the Puck on Cancer game
against Beta Theta Pi, but we had another great year raising money for the
American Brain Tumor Association. Ticket sales alone this year put our
total near $43,000. Kurt Chessman '15 led the initiative for us to join a
new philanthropy supporting the Wounded Warrior Project called Faceoff
for the Forces.
Plans for Little 500 in 2016
Lambda did not qualify for the Little 500 this year after battling track
issues during qualifications, but we appreciate the dedication of Elliot
Cofer, Quinn Rusnak,
Tim Ryan '16 and Drew Niceley '16, all of
whom will be returning to ride next year.
Alumni, Come See Us!
Lambda has made great strides toward excellence in the past few years
and this new executive team will continue moving the Chapter in the right
direction. We would also like to thank all of the alumni and would love to
have anyone over to the house to visit.
