OHIO DELTA CONTINUES PARTNERSHIP
WITH THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
Undergraduates Earn 3.22 GPA
his semester, Ohio Delta Chapter has stressed the importance of
community involvement and academics. The brotherhood has never been
so strong, coming together as a unit more than ever before. As Chapter
president, I am very proud of our members in how respectful they are toward
women and how well we are succeeding in the classroom.
PHILANTHROPY
Every week we send a group of men to the Boys & Girls Club to spend time with
the kids and help them with their schoolwork. Every brother is required to go at
least once per semester. We have experienced great participation and expect to
continue to go every week. The Chapter also planned a field day for the kids at
the end of the semester with football, soccer, and baseball.
RISK MANAGEMENT
Ohio Delta has been actively involved in risk management on campus and during
social events. Recently, Matt Kifle, Nu '09, gave a presentation on how to make
our campus a safer place. We have already started implementing changes in order
to better emulate the values we strive for as brothers of Phi Kappa Psi.
ACADEMICS
The Chapter GPA this semester has never been higher at 3.22—well above the
IFC average. In this environment, we push ourselves to achieve scholastically. We
are working to push our GPA up even further in order to get the highest GPA on
campus.
ALUMNI, COME MEET THE UNDERGRADUATES
Our members are certainly moving in the right direction and I am very optimistic
about the future. We will continue to grow as men with the values instilled in us
through Phi Kappa Psi. I truly believe we are living this quote from our creed: "I
believe that to all I meet, wherever I go, I represent not only Phi Kappa Psi, but
indeed the spirit of all fraternities; thus I must ever conduct myself so as to bring
respect and honor not to myself alone, but also to my Fraternity."
