Celebrate Christmas in the Park This December Residents of Fayetteville, Cumberland County, and the whole region are invited to celebrate Fayetteville- Cumberland Parks & Recreation's 2nd Annual Christmas in the Park. This exciting event will run through Dec. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Arnette Park, located at 2165 Old Wilmington Road. New Holiday Pickup Schedule in Effect Residents Will See Collection Changes The new holiday pickup schedule for solid waste collection is now being placed on the City's green carts at single-family residential homes. The schedule begins with Christmas on Monday, Dec. 26 and runs through Thanksgiving 2012. The new schedule shows collection changes for the coming year. Residents are asked to review the schedule carefully as one of the changes is a makeup day for yard waste collections for each holiday. In addition to the cart sticker, the holiday schedule and other solid waste collection information is on the City website at www.cityoffayetteville.org and can be accessed by clicking on the Can It! button.
