On Saturday morning, the skies were
threatening. But as the crowd began to
gather in Festival Park, the sun broke
through the clouds and as the skies
cleared, the praises of the people swelled,
as did the crowd.
The As One Prayer Walk brought
believers from across the community
together for a morning of prayer.
Making their way from Festival Park,
attendees stopped at the N.C. Veterans
Park, Fayetteville City Hall, the county
detention center, the Market House and
the Headquarters Library to offer prayers
for the military; the city, county, state and
national leadership; those who are in lives
of crime; the oppressed; for racial unity;
and for wisdom for the county's children.
