Kay Alexander Howard '56 enjoys the wonderful memories of
the 60 year reunion. She loved having two active granddaughters in
the number one Theta chapter. She will miss going to all the Theta
intramural football and basketball games since they have graduated.

Margaret Fincher Mitchell '57 comes from a large Kappa Alpha
Theta family. Her daughters, Amy Lynn Mitchell Billeifer
'85 and Beth Mitchell Lutz '87, were both members of
the Gamma Phi Chapter. Margaret's daughter‑in‑law,
Deidre Mitchell '85, is also a member of Gamma Phi.
Judy Hunt Schmid '58 lost her husband two years
ago. They had been married almost 52 years. Judy
moved to Cypress, Texas. She loves getting the Theta

Jeanie Ellerd Pennell '59 twirled at Tech from 1958 to 1960.
She still judges and teaches twirling today. Jeanie lives in Plainview,

Sara Lomerson May '63 teaches GED/ ESL and citizenship classes
in the Hill Country west of Austin. Her granddaughter will attend
Tech next year and Sara is encouraging her to go through recruitment,

Vicki Stanphill Washburn '74 raised three sons who are all proud
Texas Tech alumni. She enjoys spending time with her three grandsons
and hopes they are future Red Raiders. Vicki lives in Denison, Texas,

Mary Kilcrease Kabaci '78 earned her Ph.D. in consumer
economics at the University of Georgia in 2012. She has taught at
UGA since 2008 in housing and consumer economics. Mary plans to
teach at Montana State University this year in their online financial
planning master's program. Her daughter pledged Theta at UGA last
fall, where Mary serves on the facility corporation board. E‑mail:

Ronda Coonrod Cullen '81 has two sons, Aaron and Clayton,
who are Delta Tau Deltas at Texas Tech, and her third son, Spencer,
who is a sophomore at Argyle High School. She and her husband,

Jamie Scholl Fry '81 met fellow Theta, Laura Bush, at her school's
10th anniversary! "She was lovely." Jamie lives in Cedar Park,

Karen Rea Bryans '88 has been married to Shawn for
21 years. Their son, Jake, graduated from Boyd H.S.
and is headed to Texas Tech. They bought season
tickets to the home football games. Their daughter,
Libby, is a sophomore at Boyd H.S. and is a varsity

Kasey Bennett '99 has lived in Fort Worth, Texas, since
December 2005 and works as a teacher in FWISD. She has
taught kindergarten for six years, first grade for one year, second
grade for two years, and will be teaching third grade this fall. She has
a handsome four‑year‑old son, Grayson, who is the light of her life.

Lesley Jarrett Hagan '99 celebrated her one year wedding anniversary

Jessica Haigis '03 took a one year sabbatical from her job as an
international contract analyst to move to Panama and Bali to travel

Erica Gray '05 purchased a new house in Houston, Texas. She is
president of the Energy Landman Breakfast Group, volunteers for
the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and is in the Theta Houston

Joni Jameson Wise '07 married one of her mother's pledge sister's sons

Madison Peeler Shaw '08 married Luke Shaw on June 8, 2013. She
was honored to read 1 Corinthians at her best friend, pledge sister,
and roommate, Molly Fannin Baker's wedding. Madison lives in
