Chaplain Jon McDonnell '17 Tucson, Ariz. VP of Communications Brandon Dolan '17 Moraga, Calif. Chapter Officers Chapter Eternal Clyde C. Gelwick '35 entered Chapter Eternal March 7, 2015. He was 102 years old and a longtime Boulder resident. Clyde taught and coached at Rocky Ford and Golden high schools from 1935 through 1937 before moving to Boulder in 1938 as Boulder High School track coach and elementary school physical education teacher. He was a Navy officer from 1943 to 1946 during World War II, serving on both coasts of the United States and in Japan. In 1946, he resumed teaching and coaching at Boulder High. Clyde was a member of the Boulder School Board and served as chairman of the Boulder County School District reorganization committee. He was president of the Boulder Rotary Club and the Western Section of the Medical Group Management Association. He served as a director of the Chamber of Commerce, the Boulder Country Club and the University of Colorado Alumni Association. He received the Alumni Recognition Award in 1980. He also was an avid golfer and fisherman. Clyde is survived by his grandsons: Chad, Sean, and Curtis, and six great-grandchildren. Don Herhold '79 entered Chapter Eternal October 15, 2014. He served as an audit and accounting consultant and in recent years traveled with his job around the world to England, Scotland, France, the Czech Republic, and Brazil. Throughout his life, Don led an active lifestyle and had a passion for running and scuba diving. He enjoyed comic books, superheroes, and movies and always had a smile on his face. He also had a love of music and sports and frequented concerts and sporting events, especially cheering on his CU Buffs. His main passion, however, was his family, and his love for his wife, Lisa, two daughters, Julianne and Kristen, and golden retriever, Leila, was evident to everyone. John Nelson '82 entered Chapter Eternal October 9, 2014. He was a master practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming and a graduate of Leadership Program of the Rockies. John enjoyed the great outdoors with skiing, fly fishing and hiking. He was also an avid reader.
