DePauw Phi THE I N D I A N A Z E T A C H A P T E R O F P H I D E L T A T H E T A After Award-Winning Year, DePauw Phis Continue to Excel SPRING 2015 A s was reported in the fall 2014 DePauw Phi, when the men returned to campus, new hardware greeted them in the card room trophy case. The Chapter was named a DePauw Chapter of Excellence, awarded the Gold Star GHQ Trophy, and Founders Trophy runner-up from the International Fraternity. Undergraduates Boast Chapter Success and Hard Work With this newfound pride and sense of accomplishment, the undergraduate men got back to work quickly to keep the momentum going. Striking while the iron was hot, Indiana Zeta added 30 new members this year, bringing the Chapter size to 94. Chapter GPA after the fall semester rose above the all-men and all-fraternity averages. Intramural football champions, hundreds of community service man hours, and dozens of varsity athletes and campus leaders have given Indiana Zeta prominence at DePauw. Men from seven varsity sports call Phi Delt home, including roster dominance in baseball, tennis, and soccer. Alumni Engagement at All-Time High As for the alumni volunteers, activity remains high. The House Corporation marches along with more improvements—including planning for eventual Chapter House air conditioning. The dining room glass, floor, and other improvements have made it a very useful and popular setting. Vince Aguirre '12 and Eddie Felling '08 have become fully engaged on the Advisory Board, while Steve Jones '69 never stops. Together, the undergraduate men are getting more support than at any time in the past half century. DePauw Phi Milestones on the Horizon Indiana Zeta just eclipsed her 147th birthday.
