Alpha Epsilon Phi at The Ohio State University Undergraduates Exemplify AEPhi Ideals H ello, Rho Chapter alumnae! I am thrilled to be writing to all of you as the new chapter president. We are nearing the halfway point of our spring semester and, despite the cold weather, we have had an awesome semester. There's so much more in store, and I'm excited to share what we have been up to here in Columbus. Academic Achievements During the fall semester, we improved our chapter's overall GPA to 3.44. We were ranked sixth among the Panhellenic sororities, and we are encouraging and working with our members to improve academics. As a chapter, we have study buddies and study tables to help our members improve education habits. Philanthropic Hearts In the fall, we also had our first annual Red Week to support the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric Aids Foundation. It was a successful weeklong event, where we had an LF Trunk Show, AIDS awareness booths around campus, and Say Cheese, our grilled cheese sale. It was an amazing experience, and the chapter worked together to execute positive work and raise more than $4,000. We will host our annual Phi Trotters basketball tournament on March 29 to support Sharsharet. The women of Rho Chapter continue to be involved in many other service and philanthropies throughout the university. In February, Alpha Epsilon Phi created a team to participate in Buckeyethon, Ohio State's annual dance marathon to raise money for Nationwide Children's Hospital. One of our members also organized MLK Day of Service, which brought together more than 1,000 student volunteers to serve at different locations across the city. Rho Welcomes 57 New Members We had an outstanding recruitment in January, welcoming 57 women to join our sisterhood. They are all extremely enthusiastic and excited to get to know all of our undergraduates. The new member process is in full swing, and we are all excited for initiation in March! Enriching Our Sisterhood We are extremely excited to continue building our sisterhood with our new members and making a larger impact in the Ohio State community. With all of the wonderful upgrades to the house, we know our opportunities and bonds as a chapter will strengthen and grow. I cannot wait to see what this year has in store, and I look forward to seeing you all throughout the year at our alumnae events.
