Ryan Williams 1872 Fontanelle, Iowa Chapter Officers Greg Hunt 1853, One of Five Seniors to Win Wallace E. Barron All-University Senior Award T he Iowa State University Alumni Association established the Wallace E. Barron All-University Senior Award in 1968 to recognize outstanding seniors who display high character, outstanding achievement in academics and university/community activities, and promise for continuing these exemplary qualities as alumni. Iowa Gamma Phi Greg Hunt 1853 is one of five Iowa State students to win this year's award. Greg has charted new territory in connecting the ISU College of Business with Wall Street. He has done more, says Raisbeck Endowed Dean David Spalding, than any other student in recent memory to open up the networking pipeline between Ames and New York City. As a result, Greg is now employed with Barclays and has prepared a presentation called "Making Wall Street" to inspire other Iowa Staters in their finance careers. Greg is co-founder and president of CyGold, the first student-run and created financial literacy program on a college campus anywhere in the U.S. Under his leadership, the program touched the lives of more than 200 students every semester. Greg also founded the Iowa State Investment Banking Group, working with administrators in the College of Business to improve alumni networks in Chicago and New York City. As a student, Greg also shared his financial knowledge and passion as the Dance Marathon finance director, Phi Delta Theta-Iowa Gamma treasurer, government of the Student Body finance committee, and chairman of the GSB Student Debt Reduction Committee. He was a Larch Hall community advisor, Business Learning Teams peer mentor, Business Council member, and a student representative to the ISU Athletic Advisory Council. Phis Attend Recruitment Workshop in Lawrence, Kansas S ix Iowa Gamma Phis attended Phi Delta Theta's Recruitment Workshop held at the University of Kansas on Saturday, February 7. It was a great opportunity to attend the workshop. The speaker was very high in energy and he made it very entertaining. He made it easy to be engaged in the presentation. There were many great recruitment ideas and strategies from the workshop that we will be using. We gained many fresh ideas to implement and were also thankful for the opportunity to meet more Phi Delts from the Midwest. "This workshop shattered my expectations and gave great input toward recruiting. It was entertaining, hilarious, and extremely helpful all at the same time," said Recruitment Chairman Mason Magruder 1885. After attending, I feel the Phi Delta Theta Recruitment Workshop is a tremendous tool that develops recruitment and communication skills. Yours in the Bond, Nathan Pattee 1882 Recruitment Chairman Caleb Floss 1879, Parker Hinkle 1884, Nathan Pattee 1882, Grant Denny 1881, Pat Morrison 1894, Mason Magruder 1885, Vince Fabra (speaker)
