Josh Turner was an unknown artist in 2001 when he got a standing ovation at the Grand Ole Opry. It was his stellar performance of "Long Black Train" that impressed the audience that night and started his career skyrocketing. Since then, the South Carolina crooner has seen two of his hits spend multiple weeks at number one on the charts — "Your Man" and "Would You Go With Me." In addition, he's sold more than four million albums. According to his website: "His debut album was certified platinum for more than one million copies sold, and his sophomore album, Your Man, was one of only four country albums to reach double-platinum status in 2006. Six years after his Opry debut, he was inducted into the prestigious organization, becoming one of the youngest artists to receive such an honor. He recorded a CMT special with his musical hero, Randy Travis, and has spent time writing songs with another one of his heroes, John Anderson." The event will be held on the Main Post Parade Field. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to Department of Defense identification cardholders, their families and guests. Kiddieland and food vendors will open at 5 p.m. Wristbands are available for purchase for $7 for unlim- ited play in Kiddieland.
