6A Daily News – Friday, August 12, 2011 Education in Tehama County KEEP ON LEARNING Locals among online graduates Kaplan University celebrated the graduation of its summer 2011 class during a graduation ceremony on Aug. 6 at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago. Ronald Lindley of Corning was awarded an Associate of Applied Sci- ence degree in Travel and Tourism. Tracy Remick of Corning was award- ed a Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Sciences. During her address, former Secretary of Labor Alexis M. Herman spoke to the online graduates about the importance of education to workforce development and global competitiveness.
