T he Epsilon Chapter has a reputation on campus as being one of the most competitive chapters during formal recruitment, and this year was no different. Epsilon pledged 54 new members, including eight legacies. During recruitment the chapter hosted Collegiate Development Consultant Andi Scanlan, Nu '09, and Delta Gamma's Director: Collegiate Recruitment, Julie Coffman, Eta Gamma '00. The Fraternity chose Epsilon to pilot a new online voting system during formal recruitment. New Sorority on Campus The Ohio State Panhellenic community welcomed a new organization this year, Gamma Phi Beta. They participated in the first round of recruitment in preparation for accepting their charter class. The Greek community at Ohio State is flourishing, and Gamma Phi Beta's successful extension here is evidence. Awarded at Convention Epsilon was thrilled to be recognized at Convention in July by Region 4 for excellence in recruitment innovation. Epsilon's recruitment team is already working on preparing for formal recruitment in January 2015, and we expect it to be our best year yet! Thank You, Alumnae We could not run a successful recruitment without the support of our faithful alumnae. If you know a woman who is planning to participate in formal recruitment at Ohio State, we encourage you to fill out a sponsor form. Sponsor forms can be found at www.deltagamma.org and e-mailed to epsilonvpmembership@gmail.com or mailed to 131 E. 15th Ave., Columbus, OH 43201. Epsilon Launches Alumnae Relations Program U pon graduating from The Ohio State University, we all leave Delta Gamma with high hopes of keeping our sisterhood close to our hearts. Unfortunately, we quickly find that many new interests—careers, families, and civic activities—can create valid diversions. The day-to-day activities of life take over and, before long, we fall out of touch and begin to wonder what happened to our sisters. Without a solid alumnae relations program in place, our members lack the means for staying connected to the sorority. With this in mind, our new annual alumnae relations program is designed to help our members stay in touch and to cultivate awareness and involvement in Epsilon. There are several elements that are key to the program's success. We will mail two newsletters each year containing alumnae news, information on upcoming events, reports on various chapter activities, and current lists of undergraduate and alumnae. Contact VP Membership Megan Middleton '12 at epsilonvpmembership@gmail.com for questions and opportunities to volunteer. Epsilon Chapter counts on alumnae to recommend new members. To make it easier for you to submit a sponsor form for a potential new member, please e-mail her name, contact information, community involvement/awards, and legacy information to Megan.
