The turnout was likely the greatest-ever gathering of Alphas with brothers returning from Brazil, Japan, Germany, Mexico, Luxembourg, and England and including every decade back to the 1940s. Jack Westbrook '45 (A631), son of former chapter Advisor Russell Westbrook '17 (A324), was low Alpha and met Will Toth '2013 (A1631). We were honored to host Grand Lodge member Adam Schaffer (I1538), Theta Xi Foundation Executive Director Michael Anderson (AI476), and five brothers from Gamma Mu Chapter. Festivities started Thursday evening with the fifth annual Theta Xi Texas Hold 'Em tournament organized by Mike Petronino '94 (A1359) and won by Victor Da Cruz '96 (A1402). Large banners welcoming alumni adorned the inside and the outside of the house courtesy of Tracy and Chris "Norm" Baldauf '03 (A1487). Friday activities included golf organized by Mike Petronino where more than two dozen brothers hit the links. At the house, brothers and guests enjoyed memorabilia made available by chapter Historian Bobby Fohrenbach '15 (A1662), composites and group photos spanning the 1860s to the 2000s and Transit yearbooks, chapter newsletters, photo albums, and Theta Xi/RPI documents provided by alumni Historian Matt Glaccum '92 (A1324). HISTORIC PRESERVATION DEDICATON A 3 p.m. ceremony was held on our front steps where Bill Krattinger of the NY State Historic Preservation Office dedicated the plaque honoring 1490 Sage Avenue's listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Roger Mike, president of the Rensselaer Alumni Association, congratulated the chapter on celebrating 150 years and presented and read a resolution recognizing our contributions to RPI. Jeff Schanz, assistant VP of alumni relations and executive director of the Rensselaer Alumni Association, and Geoff Seber, associate advancement officer of Rensselaer's Office of Alumni Relations, attended as well. RITUAL MEETING While the ladies enjoyed a Saturday morning breakfast at the Hilton, the brothers participated in a ritual meeting at the house. The formal room, foyer, and dining room packed in approximately 200 brothers, many of whom had not participated in one since
