www.cityoffayetteville.org Fayetteville Has an All-America glorious tribute to America’s heroes. Downtown As most of you know by now, Fayetteville was named an All-America City for the third time since 1985. The commercial that so many of you voted for on Facebook to win us yet another award, in the video category, summed up perfectly where Downtown Fayetteville has been and where we are going. We have so many things to be proud of downtown and have made such strides; here are a few: Streetscape tratements, like our beautiful brick lined sidewalks, underground power, overhead lamp lighting, tree canopies and Hurley pots are by no accident. Hay, Person, East Russell, Green, Gillespie, Old and a couple of other streets have received attractive facelifts, as will a few other streets in the coming years. Festival Park, Home of our award-winning Dogwood Festival and International Folk Festival, as well as Fayetteville After Five, outdoor movies, concerts and more. The NC Veterans Park dedicated to military veterans from all branches of the Armed Services: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard. From delicious patio restaurants to interactive museums, painting pottery, fencing, yoga and rock climbing to fashionable clothing shops and fabulous furniture and gift shops, downtown has something for everyone in your circle of friends. More Events Every Year –There is something going on every week downtown and for every walk of life! The Franklin Street Parking Deck will be completed in November and will open up 200 spaces in an intelligently designed space, complete with retail spots that can be built in. Of course, there is all of this and more. In 40 years, we have come a long way, baby! Our downtown is our crown jewel of the city and to share in the All-America City It’s a Brew Pub with a Groove.
