REDDING The band Quiet Life is touring in support of its new EP "Housebro- ken Man," coming out Aug. 12, and will be performing 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Vintage Wine Bar, 1790 Market St. in Redding. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased by call- ing. Quiet Life has changed coasts, released three al- bums and toured all over the United States and be- yond with the likes of Dr. Dog, Alabama Shakes, Por- tugal, The Man, the Head & the Heart and the Lu- mineers — all in a forest green Ford van fueled by vegetable oil. No strangers to making the most out of limited re- sources, Quiet Life turned countless hours spent on the road into a source of inspiration for their new EP "Housebroken Man," despite a relentless tour- ing schedule that left front man Sean W. Spell- man temporarily without a home and living out of the van. The band's live shows feature "countrified, bluesy, rocking folk," ac- cording to Esquire. Quiet Life will be back in the studio later this month to record a new full-length album, pro- duced by Scott McMicken of Dr. Dog, to be released in 2015.
