But of course, at J.P. Riddle Stadium the game is not the only exciting thing happening. This week as always, The Swamp is the place to be for a fun time for all members of the family. It all starts on Thursday, June 26, as the SwampDogs take on the Petersburg Generals at 7:05 p.m. It's Social Media Night, so make sure to follow the SwampDogs social media accounts for special discount codes. It is also Fayetteville Regional Chamber Night and Throwback Thursday, so make sure to come decked out in your favorite clothes from the past. It's sure to be a blast from the past! The fun continues on Friday, June 27, with the SwampDogs' 8th Annual StriKing Out Cancer Night, as the 'Dogs take on the Wilmington Sharks at 7:05 p.m. The SwampDogs will auction off one-of-a-kind pink jerseys to benefit the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation's Friends of the Cancer Center. The team appreciate our military every night, but especially so on Saturday as the SwampDogs celebarate Military Appreciation Night. The SwampDogs will have an extra-special celebration for the 239th birthday of the U.S. Army. The first 500 fans will receive a special camo hat courtesy of Rick Hendrick Toyota and Foxy 99. The week concludes on Tuesday, July 1, as the SwampDogs host the Peninsula Pilots at 7:05 p.m., on Hope Mills Night. Come out to The Swamp and celebrate the town of Hope Mills and meet local business owners of the area. It is also UNC-Pembroke Night, so make sure you show your Braves pride! Don't forget that game is also a "2 Cool for School Tuesday." Fans who show a student or teacher ID when purchasing their general admission tickets get a special two-for-one deal. This great deal runs for every Tuesday home game in the 2014 season. While you're at The Swamp enjoying the game, head on over to the Miller Lite Liberty Lounge and enjoy $1 beer, burgers and dogs, $2 wine and free popcorn, peanuts and soda while watching the game from some of the best seats in the house. Make sure to visit The Swamp this week for all this — plus a few surprises. It is sure to be affordable fun for the entire family. Don't forget to register for the 2nd annual Balls and Strikes Bowling Classic. The event takes place on Sunday, June 29, at B&B Lanes on Fort Bragg Road in Fayetteville. It costs $50 to register your team which includes two hours of bowling with the SwampDogs, and shoe rental for four people.
