She has an impressive list of accomplishments and participation not only in Tri Delta but in the Oklahoma City community. As a Tri Delta, she served as president of Greater Oklahoma City Alumnae Panhellenic, on OSU's Phi Upsilon House Corporation during the chapter building expansion, and on OU's Theta Gamma House Corporation, where she has served on the Board of Directors for more than 20 years. As a Tri Delta mother, she served as president of Beta Nu Chapter of Psi Psi Psi. On the national level, she served as Tri Delta Chairman of House Directors. Our honoree was president of the Oklahoma City Alumnae Chapter from 1978 to 1980 and part of the committee that established our Golden Circle group, which she later served as chairman in 2010-11. She was twice chairman of the chapter's Bouquet of Art, and in 2003 she chaired and named its first Heart with a Heart and was honored by being selected as Tri Delta's Panhellenìc Woman of the Year. She is a past president of Oklahoma City's YWCA, Tri Delta Children's Fund, and the Alliance of the Oklahoma Dental Association; a past member of the Board of Directors of the now OKC Orchestra League, the Alliance of American Dental Association, and the Oklahoma Dental Foundation; and the first woman selected to ADPAC, the political arm of the American Dental Association. She also serves on the Fee Grievance Committee for the Oklahoma County Bar Association. A member of P.E.O., she belongs to First Presbyterian Church of Oklahoma City and has long been a participant in Bible Study Fellowship. By now, it must be evident to you that this Tri Delta is truly an outstanding member of Tri Delta and most deserving of this award. She is also an outstanding mom and wife—mom to Tri Delta daughter, Elizabeth Lowe Ahearn '83, and son, Dr. James Lowe III, and wife to Dr. Jim Lowe. I am proud to announce that the 2013 Lifetime Loyalty Award recipient is Linda Means Lowe '57! We are honored to call Linda our sister. Delta Love, Marilyn Coffee Torbett '57 and Sonja Sullivan Pellow '58 House Director's Quarters to Be Renovated This Summer Thank You for Your Support T hanks to all who have made a donation this year. We are excited about expanding and redecorating our house director's quarters. As most of you know, our house director, Elaine Yarbrough '11, lives in two very small rooms and has virtually no storage. We have plans to improve this without building on to the house. Our goal is to make Elaine's area a nice, pleasant place for her to live year- round and provide her storage and a work area. We will start construction the day after school closes this summer and plan to have it complete before the chapter returns for work week. We have completed plans and have started ordering all the necessary building supplies. Like every project, this will cost a lot of money. This is a good time to make a donation to the Theta Gamma House Corporation. No donation is too small; we love donations of $25. These all add up to a much larger amount. Of course, we never turn down a larger donation. Thank you in advance for your support. Delta Love, Marylee Trigg Strange '73 House Corporation President marylee.strange@gmail.com / (405) 623-6687 Lifetime Loyalty Award Presented at Founders' Day 2013 Dr. Linda Means Lowe '57, winner of the Lifetime Loyalty Award, and her husband at Founders' Day 2013. Seeking Scrapbook Volunteers T he Theta Gamma House Corporation and Candid Color Systems owner Alison McCord Counts '95 are working to put all of the OU scrapbooks online. Candid Color has photographed and scanned all of our old scrapbooks and many photos. We need Tri Delta WOMAN POWER to help write captions for the photos. This can be done from your home. Volunteers of all ages are needed, as well as a chairman or volunteer coordinator so we can cover all of the decades. The only requirement is that you have access to a computer and an Internet connection. This is a perfect volunteer project for ladies who are not in the Oklahoma City area but would still like to support the chapter. Please e-mail okctridelta@cox.net if you can help.
