Page 2 Theta Gamma News Michelle Blasquez '12 Interns at Walt Disney World A s an intern cast member at Walt Disney World, Michelle Blasquez '12 interacts with international guests on a daily basis. Her first assignment was in Hollywood Studios with a role in food and beverage. Some of her most cherished moments in the park were playing games with the children, drawing chalk art, and translating directions for guests. In addition to a full work schedule, she has the opportunity to attend classes and seminars that the Walt Disney Internship and Education Branch offers. From interview and résumé preparation to exploration series, she absorbs information about Disney heritage and the aspects that set the corporation apart from other organizations. Meeting leaders from across the company allows interns to gain a mentor, career direction, and information about professional internships. Not only does Michelle feel like she is excelling as a leader, but every day she has opportunities to create tangible magic for park guests. It brings her great joy to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, and more! She has grown immensely as a person from this internship and cannot wait to share her experiences with her sisters at OU. We're waiting for her happy return from Disney magic. Thank You to All Who Attended Moms Day Sisters Expand Their Education through Travel Abroad Program T wo of our Tri Delta sisters, Victoria Loeser '12 and Nguyen Le '11, are studying for a semester in the small town of Arezzo, Italy. They are attending art, Italian, and history courses through the sister-city program of the University of Oklahoma. They have had the opportunity to take weekend vacations to other cities in Italy, such as Rome and Venice, as well as other countries, including Spain and France. Victoria and Nguyen are enjoying practicing the Italian language while eating amazing food. This truly is a once- in-a-lifetime opportunity. Studying abroad is an educational and cultural experience that helps provide a well-rounded education for students. OU has many study abroad programs, including full semesters, summer programs, and even intercession programs. These are in wonderful places all over the world. We can't wait for our sisters to return and hope others decide to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Victoria Loeser '12 and Nguyen Le '11 enjoy a fondue dinner in Italy.
