T
his spring has been a great semester for Theta Chi. We remain a
young chapter but we are growing in size and commitment. I have
high hopes for what the future of our chapter holds as we carry on the
momentum we've been building.
We finished the fall with a 2.82 G.P.A., which ranked us 17 out of 28
fraternities. This is lower than our two previous semesters. Scholarship
Chairman Richard Bechtol '17 has implemented several strategies
to improve our academics. We look forward to positive results as we
work toward upholding our maxim: Alma mater first, Theta Chi for alma
mater.
The undergraduate men raised just under $900 in our Gobble Fest
philanthropy and all proceeds went to Hope 4 Africa. For the fall
semester we are planning three new philanthropies. Our brothers are
working hard to make a big impact in the community. We look forward
to involving the community and as many alumni as possible.
As summer approaches we have high hopes that the chapter house
will be full for the first time in many years. Thomas Payzant '16, John
Gagnon '16, and Richard Bechtol '17 will lead our recruitment efforts
for the rest of the spring semester and over the summer.
There is a lot to be excited about in the Alpha Mu Chapter right now.
Our goals for the future will continue to set our sights high as we move
forward. We plan to once again make Theta Chi a household name on
campus and in the community.
Fraternally,
