Dennis Babcock '70 recently met the Queen
of England at Buckingham Palace. He is now
producing a stage play, Faith, based on a

Larry Bell '71 believes that "being a brother
of Alpha Mu means to always have a friend.
A friend is someone who knows the song in
your heart and can sing it back to you when
you have forgotten the words." Larry lives in

Steve Schroeder '71 enjoys retirement, but still
does some consulting. His wife, Pat, teaches
private music lessons and his son, Sam,
graduated from the University of Denver and
is attending medical school at the University
of Iowa. Steve and Pat live in Johnston, Iowa.

Greg Thompson '72 owns his own company,
Greg Thompson Landscaping, in Pilot Point,
Texas. He does custom stonework for outdoor
living areas as well as timber frame structures
for barns and outdoor kitchens.
Don "Arnie" Arnold '75 and his wife, Gail,
live in El Prado, N.M., and have visited all
seven continents and more than 100 countries.
They plan to visit each of the state parks in

Andy Hemken '80 is a small commercial
beekeeper in Big Bend, Wis. The bees are
shipped to Florida in the winter, so he spends
a good deal of time there in colder months.

Jay Borbeck '82 is the VP for Iowa and
Illinois territories for Credit Bureau Mortgage
Services. He lives in Bettendorf, Iowa, with
his wife, Deb. They have four children: Sara,

Craig Kruckenberg '83 and his wife, Jill,
reside in Warrenville, Ill. He has five children:
Laura, Luke, Kayla, Deidre, and Mitchell. Craig
is the horticulture manager for McCormick

recently moved to Gilbert, Ariz. Their second

Matt Breton '05 celebrated his one-year
anniversary with his wife, Kris, in September.
He also recently passed the PE exam and
is a licensed engineer for the state of Iowa.

to take his horse to Custer State Park in
South Dakota to help with the annual buffalo
