Jane Barnes has shared a family favorite recipe, meatloaf 1 pound ground round, is best 1 egg, extra large or jumbo 1 stalk celery, cut into 1/4 inch cubes (about 2/3 cup) 2/3 cup onion, cut in small pieces 1/2 cup milk 1/4 teaspoon thyme 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes 1/2 teaspoon salt Pepper to taste Catsup Beat the egg and milk together in a small bowl. Add the seasonings to the milk mixture. Cut the onion and celery and place in a larger bowl. Mix the burger well with the celery and onion using a fork or your hands. Add the milk mixture to the burger mix and mix well with your hands. The consistency should be very moist, so that the burger falls from your hands in wet globs. Lightly place the mixture into a 9 X 4 loaf pan and spread evenly. Spread catsup evenly over the top of the loaf so that the loaf is just covered. Bake at 375 for about 40 minutes, or until bubbly (check at 30 minutes). Or bake at 350 for a little longer.
