I had gone to McMurray College in Abilene, Texas, my freshman year and pledged a social club while I was there. I signed up for recruitment at Tech and started the process, but thought I didn't want to pledge again, so I dropped. Then Delta Gamma and another sorority or two came to campus and it seemed like the perfect place for me. Luckily, they decided the same thing and that was my beginning with Delta Gamma. After I married, we moved several times and each time Delta Gamma and I met again. It was nice to know I belonged and that I was to meet new friends in Delta Gamma alumnae. Thanks, Delta Gamma, for being part of my life." Virginia and her husband, Gene, are both 80 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on a cruise.
