Last September marked the 10th year that the Huntsville Alpha Gamma Alumnae Club has supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes. The Huntsville alumnae served donated beverages from Buffalo Rock to the walk's participants. Elizabeth Payne Tucker '81 hosted the annual mother and daughter Christmas tea, where alumnae gathered with their daughters and Alpha Gamma actives. The club organized a snack delivery for the active members at the University of Alabama and Auburn University; prepared a budget under the direction of Treasurer Mary Sanders; developed forums in social media so that its members can be more connected to the club; and participated in local Panhellenic events. A meeting with International President Jackie Stutts was held in February to discuss recruitment guidelines. Lori Carlile gregory '80 hosted the event and it was also an opportunity for the Huntsville Alumnae Club to spend time with sisters from the Shoals area. The club also held fellowship opportunities at the homes of Biddy Smith Merrell '56 and Nancy Richeson Siniard '74. There will be a few more fellowship opportunities for members this spring, too. It was a fun year for the Huntsville Alpha Gamma Alumnae Club! HuNTSviLLE Let me begin by thanking alumnae for their continued support and interest in Psi Chapter. I speak for all the Tuscaloosa area alumnae when I say what a notable difference you have made in the life of our chapter and how grateful we are for your help! Through your donation of talent, time, and resources, a beautiful new house is now com- pleted. Through advising, thoughtful recom- mendations, and assisting with events, you have helped set the stage for the undergraduates to achieve. Please never under estimate the impor- tance of active alumnae! The Tuscaloosa alum- nae chapter is so very thankful for our sisters that have traveled from near and far to be a part of the work of Psi Chapter Our year began in June 2013 with a mother/daugh- ter legacy social at the new house. Area alumnae and their daughters toured the house and enjoyed refreshments on the covered porch. We hosted a new member dessert party in December, where new members enjoyed a study break with a variety of hot fruit cobblers and hot fudge brownies. We enjoyed getting to say hello to the new members and they were very excited about the desserts! Kay Park Mcgiffert '82 and her husband, Allen, opened their beautiful home for an alumnae Christ- mas party later in the month. Alumnae, spouses, and dates were treated to Allen's signature bacon- wrapped grilled quail. We all look forward to his contribution every year! International Reunion Day will be our next event. Please join us for a brunch beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Indian Hills Country Club in Tuscaloosa.
