page 3 alpha chi omega state Day 2013 I n late October, the Omaha-area alumnae welcomed nearly 80 Alpha Chis to Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha to celebrate State Day. The group included 35 Xi Chapter collegians, along with former Chapter President Christine Lee '09 and many other executive board members. Attendees heard greetings and updates from the collegians, the Xi House Corporation, the Xi Educational Foundation, and the Lincoln and Omaha alumnae groups. The main order of business, in addition to socializing with sisters, was to honor our 50-year members, five of whom were able to attend the luncheon. The 50-year pin ceremony, led by Maggie Christensen '82 and assisted by Willie Shafer '53 and Barb Elliott '67, concluded with everyone reading the Symphony of Alpha Chi Omega. After the ceremony, Barb read updates from those who were unable to attend but who sent good wishes.
