Philanthropy Remains a Priority Xi Chapter is extremely proud to announce that we raised $5,385 for the Friendship Home through our fall philanthropy, Chips and Dip. The support for such a great cause is amazing and very much appreciated. We were also very fortunate to bring Kristin's Story to the University of Nebraska this semester. Outgoing Vice President of Risk Management Molly DiGiacinto '11 and outgoing Vice President of Philanthropy Allie Nebbia '11 teamed up with Delta Delta Delta to bring this event to campus to raise awareness for domestic violence, suicide, and depression. There was a great turnout to the event and it was a pleasure to see a lot of the Greek community in the audience. Many Xi Chapter members also took part in buying and collecting gifts for adopted families around the holidays. Our next philanthropy will be Raising the Roof on April 11 at the Chapter House. We would love for any local alumnae to join us, so if you are interested please feel free to contact me. Chapter Welcomes 46 New Initiates We had a fantastic fall recruitment, and we are very excited to finally have 46 newly initiated sisters. Vice President of Recruitment Cassie Kirkpatrick '11 shared, "Recruitment was very successful this year. Not only did Xi Chapter get our highest numbers thus far, but recruitment week was an amazing bonding experience for the actives. Because of our close-knit relationships, we got a wonderful pledge class of 46 young women. Each and every one of them embodies what it means to be an Alpha Chi Omega. We love them so much." Pretty soon we will start preparing for fall formal recruitment 2014, and we would love to receive recommendations. The new executive board is just starting the term, full of positive energy and ideas. I have no doubt that our chapter will continue to strive, especially with the newly elected officers. I cannot wait to share future accomplishments with you. Thank you for all your support, and please always feel free to stop by the chapter house or any chapter events.
