Those women I work out with are some of the toughest women I know. They show up, bring their A game and work. They encourage one another, complain together about how brutal it is and then show up the next day ready to do it all again. When I first came to boot camp, I tried to hide in the corner. I didn't talk, I didn't engage or put myself out there. I had shrunk because I had lost myself in my struggle. Today, I am laughing, joking and verbally encouraging others. This is what Stephanie did. She gave me my voice back. It is one thing to sit behind a keyboard and encourage others and it is entirely different to do it in public when you don't physically look the way you want to. Stephanie is coaxing out the old me out. One burpee at a time. One lunge at a time. One raised weight at a time. Stephanie, you matter because you truly care about the women you help. Your compassion is limitless and anyone who comes into your safe and caring gym gets so much more than a work out. They get their heart held and their life renewed. Thank you for caring about me and all the women there, we like it. We like it a lot.
