Burning Auto Is Extinguished By Good Work Three local citizens had some lively minutes of firefighting Monday evening in combating flames enveloping a burning auto on the state highway a mile south of this city. One of H.M. Day’s cars caught on fire from a backfire when the gas line feed pipe broke and the stream of gas caught fire.
