Here is a full schedule: Calendar of Events Oct. 24-26 - Historic Hauntings and Hillside House of Horror (two separate events), Fayetteville Dogwood Festival, www.faydogwoodfestival.com/historic-hauntings Oct. 25-26 - Hallowe'en Revels, Museum of the Cape Fear, www.museumofthecapefear.ncdcr.gov Oct. 25 - 4th Friday Zombie Walk, The Rock Shop and Downtown Alliance, www.therockshoplive.com • Starting at 1 p.m. Get Zombie make-up done at the Rock Shop Music Hall (128 S. King Street). • 7 p.m. Zombies line up at the Headquarters Library on Maiden Lane. Entertainment by Horrible Folks Resistance and Zombie Makeup stations will be included (for those who need help!). • 7 to 8:45 p.m. The Headquarters Library will also host the all-ages "Survival of the Most Prepared" with makeup touch-ups by library staff and the Paul Mitchell School and tips on how to survive a zombie apocalypse by the Zombie Squad of S.E. North Carolina. Food donations to the 2nd Harvest Food Bank will be collected. • 8 to 10 p.m. Zombies "invade" downtown. Walk follows the Valley Auto World Zombie Mobile to the Rock Shop outdoor stage on Person Street for a live zombie party with live bands, contests for best walk and best zombie and more! • 9 p.m. the Airborne Aerial Artists will be performing at The Climbing Place. • 9:30 p.m. Shaun of the Dead will be featured at the Cameo Art House Theatre. • 10 p.m. Zombie Prom at the Rock Shop! Be named Zombie King or Queen of the prom, enter the costume contest, get your photos taken and more! Prom tickets are $10 for 21 and up (plus surcharge for under 21). Oct. 25 - 4th Friday featuring the Arts Council's A Sense of Horror Exhibit, Arts Council and Downtown Alliance, www.theartscouncil.com Have fun, be safe and watch out for the undead downtown! Nov. 2 – When Pigs Fly: All American BBQ Festival and 5K, Communities in Schools, www.whenpigsflybbqfestival.com When Pigs Fly: An All American BBQ Competition and 5K What's better than BBQ? How about a whole festival featuring BBQ, great entertainment and beer tasting? On Saturday, Nov. 2, Communities in Schools of Cumberland County will be hosting the When Pigs Fly All American BBQ Festival and 5K in Festival Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., sponsored by Family Foods Inc. For the pitmasters, there's a backyard BBQ style competition, hosted by our resident expert and celebrity, Corey Brinson and BBQ Chief Eddie Smith. If you're a little more adventurous, join for the 5k and if you just want to kick back, enjoy some BBQ, great music by some of the best bluegrass bands in the state and sample the local brew, that's an option too. Tickets are $5 general admission, which includes entrance to the park and all day access to food vendors, Kidzone and live entertainment. For $25, enjoy the Beer Lovers All Access ticket, which includes your general admission AND includes a souvenir beer sampling glass with free beer sampling from area breweries.
