A Testament to Our Past, A Legacy for our Future $300,000 Cash-in-Hand Goal for Construction Launch Gamma Tau Needs Your Support It's Time to Reflect What does the fraternity mean to you? Something? Anything? Aren't you who you are today at least in part because of Theta Chi Fraternity? Your career? Your spouse? Your memories? We believe in Theta Chi, its traditions and ideals. That's why we're writing to you today. We're asking you to honor your past and extend a helping hand to the future generations of Theta Chi brothers. It's Time to Make Your Payment We engaged in A Testament to Our Past, A Legacy for Our Future campaign more than a year ago, and publically announced in April. As we continue with our plans for financing and construction, we are facing a very real need to have more cash in our account. To get us where we need to be, we are sending out the call to our brothers who have already made their pledges to make sure they are current with both their 2012 and 2013 commitments. It's not too early to make your 2014 payment, as well! Our goal is to have an additional $300,000 cash in hand by December 31. This is necessary to secure the bridge loan that OX Building Corporation will soon request from Norwich Housing Corporation (NHC). The necessary resources to begin the project will not be secured from NHC unless we have established a strong level of commitment from the brotherhood. NHC needs to see a solid cash balance in our campaign account by year-end in order to commit their resources to this project. It's Time to Make Your Pledge We are also asking those of you who have yet to make a commitment to pull out that pen and send in your pledge form. We have more than $1.1 million pledged to the campaign, and have received more than $400,000 cash already, but more is needed! This project is moving forward and the house will be built, but the costs to finance the project will increase if the necessary equity isn't secured. Now is the time. With your help we can surpass our goal of $1,856,000! Your name will be permanently placed on the donor plaque with a minimum contribution of $2,500; that's only $42 per month! Pledge forms can be downloaded and payments can be made on our website: www.drakethetachi.org. Click on the "Make Difference-Donate" button and make your gift today. Join Us for Tele-Forum Call October 8 Also, be sure to join us October 8 at 6 p.m. Central Standard Time for a special, live tele-forum. We will give an update on our cash deadline and the project. Dial-in and registration information will be sent via e-mail later this month. Contracts will be signed early next year, and the old house will be deconstructed after the 2014 academic year. There is only one more Drake Relays to visit the old house before it comes down. This is truly a momentous time for our Chapter. Be a part of it! It's Time!
