Being part of its growth is rewarding to Mark and Mary Jayne Eidman, owners of Discover Earth Eco Mercantile. “We think back as recently as five or so years and realize how far downtown has come to be able to support a successful eco-friendly store in Red Bluff”. It’s not uncommon for people to wonder what Discover Earth is all about. Historic quality is being preserved with wonderful historic buildings. “Tourist may stop for the architecture, but the stay for the people”, says Eidman. Eidman shared that some of our now; dear friends were just passing through, moved here and are great additions to our community. I hear time and time again how much people appreciate the friendly helpful merchants of downtown. They love the sense of community and want to be a part. With fall here and the holidays fastly approching the Eidmans want to encourage everyone to experience the joy of shopping local and to always keep in mind the old verbage “use it or loss it”. “We truly believe that our downtown is special”, the Eidmans commented.
