Contact TCDABI at 530529-3590 Ouellette Celebrate Recovery event scheduled in Red Bluff The 11th Annual Recovery Happens Celebration is scheduled 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Red Bluff City Park Recovery Happens is designed to celebrate the success of treatment and recovery with community members of all ages. This family event is free to the public and includes a barbecue lunch, live music provided by Roy Dyer and The Bigguns, speakers, childrens' activities and information booths. Rhonda Johnson You Matter \After last week I am convinced that there is nothing Rhonda Johnson can't make. Since I have known her she has made me an entire bedding set, with shower curtain to match, altered countless garments and custom made clothes from a picture or drawing but last week she made me something random- super hero capes. There is no doubt Rhonda loves what she does. I have yet to see her in a bad mood sitting in her oversized fabric castle waiting to help the sewing deprived mend, create or alter their lives to fit them perfectly. Rhonda can look at something and know how to fix it or create it and she rarely even needs to write anything down to do it. Rhonda is an involved community member and the well being of Red Bluff matters to her. She was involved with the high school as a board member for many years. She is very proud of the school and is excited about students getting the best education they can. Her enthusiasm about the school is equal to that of her business. People like Rhonda remind us that if you do things you love, you never work a day in your life. If you make it your career. Froome, Sullivan and Lilly return with large bucks The woods are full of deer hunters and the game is plentiful, with more or less success so far on the par of those in quest of bucks. This is the report brought back by Deputy Sheriff James N. Froome who, with his wife and children, has been spending ten days in the Mineral district. — Sept. 10, 1923 a.m. Admission is free. Food will be served at a snack bar. Blues for the Pool and the Red Bluff Community Center Auxiliary are joining in sponsoring the annual event, raising funds for the McGlynn Pool and the center. Textiles range from doll clothes and children's wear to knitted, crocheted and embroidered items, baby quilts and silk scarves. Ceramics include hand thrown pottery and tiles. There are sandstone rocks and tiles, wood art and birdhouses. Jewelry, scented candles, wreaths and floral arrangements are always popular. Foods include spice packets for dips, bread, cookies, candies, nuts, jams, jellies and barbecue sauce. Local history publications and gold jewelry purchasing will be available.
