Assault • A woman reported her mother-in-law assaulted her in front of Safeway on Edith Avenue. The subject grabbed a phone from the woman's hand and scratched her face. The woman reported the subject is not allowed around her children and that the subject grabbed a juvenile by the arm. The subject left the scene in a black Chevrolet two-door pickup truck and was last seen going north on Interstate 5. iBad THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 Sierra Sound 3A • A woman at Starbucks on State Route 99W reported a female subject accused her juvenile son of stealing her iPod and then searched his backpack. The woman reported the subject waited in front of the Starbucks and requested to speak with an officer. All parties were counseled Arrests • Billy Wayne Carpenter, 29, Los Molinos was arrested Saturday on State Route 99E for an outstanding charge of felony transportation of a controlled substance. Bail was $150,000. • Jeanette Michelle Chambers, 50, Gerber was arrested Friday at Raley's for felony second degree burglary. Bail was $30,000. • Marcos Soto Gonzalez aka Antonio Landa Suazo and Julian Landa Suazo, 55, Redwood City was arrested at M-2 and Kelly Road for felony possession of marijuana for sale, selling marijuana and being armed while committing a felony. Bail was $115,000. • Kevin James Havel, 24, Gerber was arrested Thursday at Sixth and Solano for outstanding charges of felony theft from the elderly and misdemeanors of first degree burglary, false checks and intent to fraud. Bail was $205,000. • Bobby Burl King, 60, Red Bluff was arrested Friday at Barg Hole for felony obstruction. Bail was $30,000. • Robert Bruce McCullough, 34, Red Bluff was arrested Monday on the 500 block of Wiltsey for felony driving under the influence causing an injury to another, hit and run from an injury and misdemeanor obstruction. Bail was $103,000. • Joey Anthony Peralta, 29, Red Bluff was arrested Saturday on outstanding charges of felony possession of a narcotic with the purpose for sale Boating •A 60-year-old woman reported herself and two other adults were stranded about a half-mile south of the Woodson Bridge on the east bank Saturday night after their boat motor became disabled. Everyone had life vests and there were no injuries. Fish and Wildlife towed them to the ramp. Burglary • A vehicle burglary was reported at Black Butte Road at Stoney Creek. A 45-year-old man reported the incident Sunday. It occurred while he Drunk • Around 7:50 p.m. Saturday someone reported a man was screaming and jumping into traffic near Nu Way Market. The man then appeared to start a fight. Deputies arrived and arrested the man for being drunk in public. • A pair of 30-somethings were admonished for driving a truck down to the river bank at Mill Creek Park and throwing their beer cans into the water Saturday evening. Naked • There was a report of a man walking naked on State Route 36W about 10 miles west of Red Bluff around 3:20 p.m. Friday. Theft • A 73-year-old man reported the theft of junk mail from his mailbox Friday on the 23000 block of Volcano Way. • Medication was reported stolen from a mailbox on the 23000 block of blackberry Avenue. • A 24-year-old man reported the theft of three video game controllers, valued at $180. • A red Homelite chainsaw was reported stolen from a yard on Howell Avenue. Vandalism • A water tank and well house was shot over the weekend on the 3000 block of Columbia Avenue.
