Co-sponsored by the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce, the hot air balloon rally offers multiple opportunities for local businesses. Thanks to advance north state broadcast and print promotion by Rolling Hills Casino, we can expect that thousands of visitors from outside Tehama County – in addition to hot air balloon devotees from all across the West – will come to our market for that weekend, many for the first time. Extra copies of the official event pro- gram, produced by the Daily News, will reach these folks with distribution at the event, and in local hotels and restaurants. The program will contain information about "what else to do" in Tehama Coun- ty. The Daily News will also ensure copies of its 2010 Visitor Guide are also available for visitors to the County that weekend. Advertising space in the official RR&R program is but one of the benefits offered to local business "balloon sponsors." The Chamber is seeking business sponsors for a dozen or more hot air balloons coming to fly at the event.. These select business- es will be represented in advance event promotion, VIP event benefits, a banner on their assigned hot air balloon, and a hot air balloon ride for two people, weather permitting. For details on balloon spon- sorships, go online to http://www2.red- bluffdailynews.com/special_section/172/ , or contact the Chamber office for a hard copy. Advertising space in the official pro- gram will also be available to local busi- nesses that are not balloon sponsors. Rates and deadlines will be published in the Daily News. Thanks to yet another business-sup- The community is invited portive gesture by Rolling Hills Casino, the proceeds from the balloon sponsor- ships and purchased free-flying and teth- ered balloon rides at the event itself will go the Chamber to support its good works promoting and supporting other Tehama County events. Balloon-sponsoring busi- nesses will thus be buying more than great promotion and a like- ly ride in the sky, they will be supporting the Chamber in its mission to support local busi- nesses, invite increased tourism, and promote quality local events for residents and visitors alike. Rolling Hills Casi- no’s Marketing Depart- ment offered to assume responsibility for infrastructure support for the visiting bal- loon pilots and their crew, thus freeing the Chamber to concentrate on obtaining bal- loon sponsorships. Every time we imag- ine that Rolling Hills Casino has support- ed Tehama County’s businesses and eco- nomic potential about as much as possi- ble, they step up to the plate and offer to do more. Amazing. The Chamber is looking for volunteers from member businesses to work the bal- loon rally part of the two-day event. Here’s a chance to meet some enthusiastic visitors to our market. Wearing your com- pany name tag or polo shirt while you sell an event t-shirt or escort a sponsor to their balloon for their flight would be good pro- motion for your business, in any case. Call the Chamber office at 527-6220 to volunteer. The Ribs, Rods and Rides hot air bal- loon festival going to be an even better event this year, with more hot air bal- loons, tethered rides in addition to free flights; plus more entertainment, more hot cars and more ribs.
