F ollowing the initiation of our 204th and 205th pledge classes (13 and 21 members, respectively), the Xi ended the year with 98 active brothers, several of whom are currently studying abroad. Selected from a deeply engaged and competitive pool, each new brother brings a strong sense of purpose, a commitment to community, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the initiatives that matter most to them. This year, the Chapter completed more than 400 community service hours. Brothers volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, Habitat for Humanity, Connecticut Foodshare, and the CT Source to Sea Initiative. We also revived our partnership with Traverse Square, where brothers and pledges led after-school programming filled with games, dancing, and snacks. In the fall, we welcomed the Middletown Fire Department for the annual Firemen's Dinner—an event they called "the best Psi U dinner they've ever had." Beyond the walls of the house, brothers continued to excel: Jack Vigue '25 and Owen Forbes '25 were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, seven brothers currently compete as varsity athletes across football, soccer, squash, softball, and track (notably, Anthony Crossman '26, Jay Watson '27, and newly initiated Jacque Pierre '28 helped lead Wesleyan to a NESCAC Football Championship victory over Trinity), and the success of women's soccer— featuring Tori Rideau- Winds '26 and Juliette Sullivan '27—and other fall sports helped Wesleyan rise to 12th place nationally in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings. This marks the university's best fall season on record. The arts also saw strong representation from the Xi. Five brothers completed honors or high honors studio art theses, each exhibited in Wesleyan's Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery. Matty Shields '25 and Owen Forbes '25 were awarded the Elizabeth Verveer Tishler Prize for outstanding achievement in studio art. This spring, 23 brothers lived in our historic Chapter House, which continues to serve as the heart of our community. Weekly family-style dinners and to-go lunches prepared by Chef Kail and other catering partners restored a strong sense of rhythm. Brothers and pledges gather in the main hall to share food and conversation in the space we're proud to call home! Our social media presence grew by over 200%, expanding the Chapter's reach and visibility across campus. Events at the house remained a highlight of the year, with themed parties regularly drawing more than 300 attendees. We also hosted student groups like TERP, Black Raspberry, and other campus performers. With exciting renovations on the horizon, the Xi is eager to build on this momentum as we preserve the spaces, traditions, and spirit of engagement that make Psi Upsilon a vital part of campus life! Fraternally, Archon Miles Urban '27 XI CHAPTER PAGE 2 "PsiU was the one Fraternity that truly prioritized building community. The brotherhood has given me some of my best Wesleyan memories—most of them inside the Chapter House. I believe any upcoming renovations will encourage more brothers to take pride in the space and create even more amazing experiences. –Katherine Risden "I joined to be part of a lasting community that would extend beyond my years at Wesleyan. Few places, aside from my childhood home, hold as many memories or as much love and joy as 242 High Street. I'm excited to see how the renovated house will honor our history, strengthen alumni engagement, and ensure this special space continues to serve future generations." –Ella Wade WHY PSIU?
